Description: This co-ed supportive group is intended to connect those who currently serve; those who have served, and even those with an interest in serving in the uniformed services. We share a common bond that we have or will soon take an oath under God to make great sacrifices for others. The Group will meet 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at the Stones Crossing Campus. Leader Info: Will enjoys exercising his mechanical acumen by busting a few knuckles while turning wrenches on anything with wheels or tracks. We will be doing a deep dive into each book of the New Testament. Leader Info: John has been coming to Emmanuel since 2023 and has been a life-long believer. Committed to Jesus, your spouse, each other in the group, and to having great fun along the way! Even though the address says Martinsville the home is actually in Waverly. Come meet Danny and Crissy and grow your marriage stronger together with this group! Leader Info: Danny and Crissy have been married 31 years and have two adult children and one grandchild. They are an active couple and enjoy trail running, camping, and hiking.

We are celebrating our one year anniversary as a small group and welcome you to join us. Our teachings are versatile. As Leaders, we lean on the Holy Spirit to guide and direct our steps as the group grows spiritually together. Our very own spiritual Leader, Pastor Danny Anderson, shared these words during a Sunday message: The presence of God is more potent when we gather together. Why do we need to gather? 1. Values are transformed. 2. Thinking is transformed. 3. Expectations are being transformed. Proverbs 27:17 says, "Iron sharpens iron and one man sharpens another." A quote by John Donne says, "No man is an island, entirely of itself." Our group welcomes entrepreneurs, stay at home moms and dads, working class, retirees, singles and married couples. Join us. Financial Peace University

Campus: Garfield Park Group Type: Co-ed Schedule: Sunday at 7:00 PM Description: This group focuses on learning financial principles, provides one on one conversations as well as group discussion. This group meets every week for 10 weeks on Wednesdays from 6:30pm-7:30pm. Cost for this group is $79.99 (individual or per couple), and there is an opportunity for scholarships. Please reach out to Emily Morning to request a scholarship application if needed. Leader Info: Kirk and Erika Mulroney are FPU Alums and certified trainers. They look forward to bringing the class to GP and helping others become financially free!

Have you been a believer for a long time but you want to take your faith more seriously? This group is for you! Back to the Basics is for anyone who is looking to grow in their relationship with God and what it means to be a disciple. You will go through the book Discipleship Essentials. It will walk you through basic through all the basics for your faith. Leader Info: Glenn and Delinda LaFara have been a part of Emmanuel for a long time! They both serve in multiple capacities at church. When they are not serving, they are camping or walking their dog Cuddles!

Description: This "Better Together" group is meant to encourage one another and the Garfield Park campus community. This group will share prayer needs and work together to unite our community. They also focus on outreach in the community with quarterly events on some Saturdays. This group will meet every other Wednesday from 6:00-7:00 pm. During each meeting they will review the weekend's sermon and discuss questions relating to it. Campus: Stones Crossing Group Type: Co-ed Description: This multicultural married couples group will be diving into navigating the nuances of multicultural marriage in its early stages. As a multicultural family, Fabi and Meg have experienced the struggle of joining together in marriage and having a lack of space to explore the unique challenges and experiences alongside those in similar situations. This group meets every other week Thursdays at 7PM. Leader Info: Fabian and Meg met on a mission trip in Cartagena, Colombia where they served alongside Exodo church, one of Emmanuel's Global Partners. They have been married for 10 years and have two children.

This group will be studying the book "The 4 Keys to Hearing God's Voice" by Mark and Patti Virkler. Designed to open your ears to the Lord's "still, small voice," the Virklers' illuminating guide shows how to recognize God's words in spontaneous thoughts, become silent before him, look for vision as you pray, and understand the importance of 2-way journaling. A wonderful way to enjoy intimate communication with your heavenly Father. Leader Info: Teri Short is thrilled to be leading a group at the Garfield Park campus!
