"Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you." (James 1:27)
Emmanuel's Foster and Adoption Ministry exists to provide support and encouragement for foster and adoptive families, resources and training for those exploring the call, and opportunity for others to come alongside and serve these families in practical ways.
If you are currently fostering or you are considering the call of foster care or adoption, Emmanuel’s Foster and Adoption groups provide a community of care and support to come alongside you on your journey.

Our Care Community Team is a proud part of Emmanuel Church’s Impact Team.
God created each of us with unique abilities to make an impact in the lives of others. Care Communities offer practical ways to come alongside those who have chosen to foster or adopt. Our Care Community Team makes an impact by helping to meet the family’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. This may include:
- Providing occasional meals or child care
- Donating or distributing items to the supply closet
- Mentoring or tutoring children
- Helping with household needs
To learn more about care communities, email Breanne Schafer, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Emmanuel's Foster and Adoption Ministry has created a resource closet for foster and adoptive families to utilize for needed furniture and supplies. If you would like to make a donation, view our Amazon Wish List below. If you would like to request items from the resource closet, click the request form button.
