What to Expect

No matter where you are spiritually or what season of life you’re in, you are welcome at Emmanuel!

Each weekend service is crafted with you in mind and our hope is that you will feel comfortable and will hear a message that makes sense to you. Services include a time of music led by awesome musicians and vocalists and a message from our Senior Pastor Danny Anderson.

I’ve never been to church (or it has been a long time). What should I wear?

We hope you’ll be comfortable in whatever you wear when you join us. Jeans and casual clothing are more common than suits and dresses, but any style—your style—is welcome.

How long does your service last?

We plan for a 60 minute service (approximately).

What will I be doing during the service?

Although our services vary, a typical service will consist of music at the beginning. You can feel free to stand up and sing or remain seated. After the music, you will enjoy a practical message where the speaker will cover a topic in our series and dive into the Bible to see how it can relate to your life.

Should I bring coffee?

Absolutely! Feel free to bring your favorite coffee to enjoy during the service or stop by the e-café in the lobby for a free cup.

What is there for my kids?

We have full children’s programming for all services for ages birth-5th grade. All of our volunteers who work with your children have had background checks performed because we take your child's safety very seriously.

I'm used to a small church. Will I fit in?

We try to maintain the "small-church feel" so that everyone will feel welcome and comfortable. Emmanuel is a church of small groups where you can connect with a smaller circle of people who care for each other and can grow in Christ together.

Is there anything else I should know before I come?

Come as you are, be comfortable, and be sure to grab a handout as you walk in. The handout contains the message notes for the day and our announcements.  You can also download our church app before arriving and find the weekly notes there.

How do I become a member?

We are currently restructuring our membership process and will be relaunching it in August.  If you have questions regarding membership, please contact Brent Fox by email or by phone at 317.535.9673, ext. 208.
